Show Name: Trigger Finger
Barn Name: Trigger
Age: 8
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Swedish Warmblood
Appearance: This dark bay gelding has perfect conformation and everything about him screams ‘jumper’. Although on the ground and standing he may appear long and lanky, as soon as he starts moving he seems to own any Show jumping or Cross country course. Trigger stands at approximately 16.2 hands high, taller than his dressage counterpart. Trigger carries a star and snip on his elegant face.
Personality: Trigger can switch from an old man to a springy yearling within seconds. Or just a step into the ring. His manners on the ground are extraordinary, and every now and again he can be considered posh, due to the fact that he was gelded so late in his life.
He is very dedicated to his rider and he seems to be the only one to take Day seriously. If anyone else got on his back, he would playfully get them off or just refuse to move forwards. If they turn to more abusive persuasions… he will buck or rear them off with grace and ease.
History: Before Day purchased him as a three year old, he had been born into one of the best breeding barns money could find. He had quickly been trained and started to be shown as a three year old, but know one got on his back even though he had already competed and won many first place prizes.
When Lindsay got him, she had quickly trained him in the Eventing classes, originally believing that he would enjoy Dressage to his breed’s characteristics. But he surprised her with a heart for jumping. It wasn’t rare… just not was common as a Swedish Warmblood in Dressage.
When his owner purchased Marie Louise, he could almost have appeared jealous and protective, yet he was soon put in his place and now followed the mare wherever she went, even if he was not welcome.
Now at eight years old, he has added many first places’ to his showing belt and has no signs of slowing.
Discipline(s): Show jumping, Cross country, Dressage.
Other: Is Lindsay’s Show Jumping and Cross Country horse.
